Our Vineyards

Our vineyards stretch across Rouffach's entire vine hill, covering parts of all sections.

In the southern region of the Alsace, and especially around Rouffach, we have microclimatic weather conditions with lots of sunshine and poor rain falls. The lime-stone hills are blessed with a heavy shallow argilo-calcaire soil mix, and a south to south-east exposure. Perfect conditions for the vine plant which favours lots of sunshine and likes to dig its roots into the soft lime-stone.

The vines are planted in between narrow beds of specially sown ray grass which is permanently kept short by five cuts throughout the year, for weed control..

The grape harvest is performed manually. The grapes are picked from the bunch and then pressed with great care to extract the maximum of aromatic essences.

Our Product Range include:

- generic wines of the Alsace
- Côte de Rouffach (prime locations)
- Grand Cru Vorbourg (appellation of origin and quality)
- Vendages Tardives (late harvest)
- Our Selection of Grain Nobles (noble-mould)
- Our sparkling wines (Crémant d'Alsace)
- Fine spirits

Please note:

It is important to know that the wines from the Alsace should be served chilled (but not too cold). The ideal temperature is between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius. We also recommend to store the bottles in horizontal positions, in cellars of average humidity with a temperature of 10 - 15 °C. Generally speaking, our wines should be consumed within 4 to 5 years after harvest. However, the Grand Crus, Vendages Tardives and Grain Nobles can be aged much longer, as they improve with age.
